DETAILS OF EVENT
Come hear contemporary rhythms of Irish life, fused with issues and realities of the wider world. Come and enjoy the work of Libyan-Irish artist, singer-songwriter and pianist Farah Elle whose alternative pop sound is influenced by an eclectic taste of genres; from hip-hop to R&B and Ska, while featuring Arabian echoes from her Libyan background. Her rhythmic lyrics, piano driven songs and distinctive voice aim to reveal something of the beauty in the ephemeral every-day.
Enjoy the work of spoken word artist, storyteller, theatre maker, and performer Vickey Curtis from Dublin. Vickey believes that art lives in the everyday. Vickey’s work includes Vickey Curtis Isn’t Sorry (Live Collision Festival), Finem Respice (Tiger Dublin Fringe), A Rose by any Other Name (Dublin Live Art Festival), and Victor and Gord (Project Brand New, Queer Notions, Dublin Fringe Festival, Kilkenny Arts Festival, Electric Picnic, Pavilion, Centre Culturel Irlandais). Come along and join us for an evening of music, spoken-word, creativity and activism. All welcome.
