European Project: Inclusive Health

Promoting qualified, safe and socially inclusive health services

Smashing Times are delighted to be involved in a European partner project titled Inclusive Health. Below are some details on this exciting new project.

Due to recent social changes (migration, mounting poverty, etc.), this project promotes qualified, safe and socially inclusive health services by competent health workers (doctors, nurses, clinical social workers, midwives) within vocational education. Educational needs are gradually becoming more important, and call for the need for profession-specific content, while social changes call for inclusive education and training.

The project aims to provide the sector with European tools of learning based on the use of ICT (Information and Communications Technology). This will contribute to an improvement in the training’s quality. There is no training tool as referent for this project or in this kind of use before. This new and innovative training tool will provide permanent learning for the development of the activities in more sustainable conditions of the target sector. It will also allow for an improvement of the professionalisation of the sector, steering it towards the use of the ICT.

Inclusive Health aims to develop an audio-visual catalogue: training tools for health professionals to improve their social inclusion skills. This will be an innovative tool for the sector and has not been done before.

The project will last 36 months from September 2016 until August 2019. The approved project budget is €181,371.

The project consortium is composed of four partners in four different countries:

– Recep Tayyip Erdogan University (RTEU), Turkey;

– Biedriba Eurofortis (BEFO), Latvia

– AKLUB Centrum vzdelávání a poradenství (AKLUB), Czech Republic;

– Smashing Times Theatre and Film Company (STTFC), Ireland.
