Sharing the Stage: Theatre, Peace Building & Equality – Two Day Theatre Symposium and Performance
Droichead Arts Centre, Drogheda, County Louth – 27th & 28th September 2013
As part of Acting for Peace funded by the International Fund for Ireland.
A two-day symposium using drama workshops, discussions and theatre performances to explore the intersection between theatre, peace building and equality. This symposium will explore and promote equality, diversity and the coming together of different communities in mutual understanding and respect. Artists and speakers include Raymond Keane, Barabbas Theatre Company, Idan Meir, Combatants for Peace, Jim Arbuckle, Good Relations Facilitator, and Maria Mc Bride, Smashing Times Theatre Company. The symposium includes a theatre performance of Uprising on Friday 27th September, in Droichead Arts Centre. Performances are open to the public. Events are free, booking required and lunch provided. Participants do not need to have any previous experience of drama to take part.
Guest Speaker is Dill Wickremasinghe, broadcaster and journalist and presenter of award-winning Global Village, Newstalk.
The symposium includes a theatre performance of Uprising on Friday 27 September in Droichead Arts Centre.
