Enjoy a Tintreach Creative Writing Workshop conducted to support and facilitate collaboration between artists, creative practitioners and local communities in Uíbh Ráthach, fostering a vibrant cultural hub. The Tintreach Creative Writing Workshop takes place at The Barracks Heritage Centre, Cahersiveen, Saturday 6 June 2026, 2-4pm and explores writing skills, sparks creativity and builds creative connections, listening to what artists want as well as offering information on the forthcoming open submission call for Tintreach: The Smashing Times Arts and Literary Journal. Edition VII of Tintreach: The Smashing Times Arts and Literary Journal is a special bi-lingual edition featuring the work of six artists from Uíbh Ráthach, the Iveragh Peninsula, County Kerry. This special edition of Tintreach, edited by writer Féilim James, celebrates artistic practice, the Irish language, and community engagement, with a focus on art, place, community, the Irish language, nature and belonging.Tintreach: The Smashing Times Arts and Literary Journal will be published at a public launch on 18 July 2026, at The Barracks Heritage Centre, Cahersiveen as part of the Kerry Arts and Human Rights festival.

Creative Connections
Implemented by Smashing Times International Centre for the Arts and Equality in partnership with The Barracks Heritage Centre, Cahersiveen, and ACARD Community Development Limited, Cahersiveen. Supported by Cumas Ceantar Creative Places Uíbh Ráthaigh, The Arts Council and the the Ciste Beag Ealaíon – Micro Arts Fund 2026, Kerry County Council, and Failte Ireland.
