Full Event Details

GOAL NextGen is proud to collaborate with The Friends of the Freedom Theatre (TFT) to present a compelling performance centred on the theme of Belonging. Known for its powerful and socially engaged productions, The Freedom Theatre uses performance as a tool for reflection, cultural resistance, and dialogue. This partnership brings together artists, activists and performers in Ireland to explore themes of Global Solidarity through a vibrant and inclusive celebration of belonging, exploring connections that unite individuals and communities in Ireland and beyond.

Through a curated art exhibition featuring visual arts, music, poetry, and spoken word, attendees will experience diverse perspectives on identity, culture, and inclusion and how these themes interest with human rights advocacy. This event aims to foster a more profound sense of connection and shared understanding by bringing together artists, community leaders, and the public, reinforcing that belonging is a personal journey and a collective experience.

This event empowers youth to reflect on and communicate themes of identity, permanence, and resistance, core elements of the human rights discourse. By amplifying voices often excluded from mainstream narratives, the performance fosters empathy, awareness, and critical dialogue around the rights to freedom of expression, cultural participation, and equality.  Ultimately, this performance serves as a dynamic and inclusive space for education, reflection, and advocacy, encouraging audiences to engage with human rights not just as abstract principles, but as lived experiences that demand attention, solidarity, and action.

Special thanks to Goal and GoalNextGen; Friends of the Freedom Theatre, Ireland; the Freedom Theatre Youth Programme, Jennin, and Irish aid.
