Watch an animated film about the building’s origins, meet historical figures through interactive displays, and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding bay from the turret.
On the top floor, dive into the architectural story of the barracks and its designer, Enoch Trevor Owen, before stepping into the Daniel O’Connell Room, where the legacy of “The Liberator” is brought vividly to life.
Join a free guided tour at 11am or 2pm most days and let our knowledgeable team bring the stories of The Old Barracks to life. Prefer to explore at your own pace? Complimentary audio guides are available throughout the day, providing fascinating insights as you move through the building.
