Speaker Biographies:

Formed in 2023 at the Joe Mooney Festival in Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim, CAS brings together the artistry of Sebastian Luthers, Carol Scott, and Peter Gallagher. In just two years, they’ve become a standout trio on the Irish and international music scene. Drawing inspiration from the landscapes ranging from Connaught to Auvergne, CAS weaves intricate melodies and spirited rhythms into their music, creating a unique sound with a blend of original and traditional Irish music that is both authentic and fresh. In 2025, Sebastian Luthers released his acclaimed new album The Lost Violin, featuring original compositions recorded with CAS members Carol Scott and Andy McMenamin and with collaborator Nico Contamine.
