From Colombia to Ireland, this event sheds light on the case of Smurfit-Westrock, an Irish-US multinational accused of land grabbing, environmental destruction, and repression of Indigenous peoples and farmers communities in Cajibío, Cauca. While local communities face violence and criminalisation for defending their territories, the company continues to operate with impunity. In Dublin, we open this urgent conversation to reflect on Ireland’s corporate responsibility, amplify the voices of those resisting in Colombia, and build solidarity for justice and accountability.
