Smashing Times condemns all war crimes in the current conflict in Gaza and calls on all international laws to be adhered to. Civilian casualties must be avoided at all costs.

Journalists are protected under international humanitarian law against direct attacks. Targeting journalists constitutes a breach of the Geneva Conventions. Intentionally or indiscriminately attacking civilians is a war crime.

Smashing Times condemns the killing of at least 64 journalists by Israeli forces (per the Committee to Protect Journalists) and the damage and destruction of 48 media facilities in Gaza, in what is believed to be the deadliest war for journalists in decades.
